Junior Gold
The ERYHA Junior Gold program offers high school-aged players a competitive hockey experience outside of varsity teams, with multiple levels of play across the state.
Ages
Junior Gold hockey in Minnesota is for high school-aged players, typically ages 15 to 18.
This program offers competitive play for those not on varsity teams, with tryouts and league games through the Junior Gold High School League.
When
The season starts in October with pre-skates, tryouts, and 35–40 games, culminating in playoffs through the Junior Gold High School League.
Where
Practices are typically held at the Furniture & Things Event Center in Elk River.
Jerseys & Equipment
Jerseys are provided once teams are established. Players will get a practice jersey, and game jersey and socks. Full equipment is required.
Practice jerseys are returned at the end of the season, while game jerseys and socks are kept by the player.
Mandatory:
Helmet with face mask, mouthguard, neck guard, shoulder pads, elbow pads, gloves, breezers, shin guards, skates, and stick.
More info can be found on the MN Hockey 101 page.
