I just wanted to make you aware that your player #17 stepped on my son with his skate and all of his weight at yesterday’s game against Rogers. Whether intentional or not, he is the reason that my son was on the ground (elbowing, for which he should have received a penalty, but did not). My son lost a ton of blood, and had to get three subcutaneous stitches as well as seven surface stitches. And he will be out of hockey for sometime as it heals. I am happy to send you the pictures of his wound so that you can educate your skaters, so that this never happens again, especially after a player from Minnesota died from a skate cutting them. It is better to fall on your butt than to fall forward on someone and cut them with your skate blade. I understand that people make mistakes, but they need to understand the consequences of their actions. At the very least this should be a teachable moment, and a lesson in accountability. And I think my son deserves an apology.
