USA Hockey, MN Hockey and District 10 has set new regulations that Elk River Youth Hockey must follow regarding our locker rooms.  Any person in the locker room must complete the SafeSport training and MN Hockey background check. 

Supervising the locker room is a requirement for all families as being of a team, and is typically assigned by the team manager. 

In order to ensure that we have followed the required regulations we are requiring that all parent/guardian(s) of players complete the required SafeSport training.  The training is free.   Please note the SafeSport training is required for all parent/guardian(s) including board members, coaches, managers, team sponsors, event chairs, event assistants, etc.

1. Obtain a USA Hockey number (FREE) - https://www.usahockeyregistration.com/login_input.action
   1. Select the option of Ice Manager/ Volunteer
   2. Complete the needed information and get your USA Hockey Confirmation Number

1. Complete the 90 minute SafeSport training (FREE) or 30 minute refresher - http://www.usahockey.com/safesporttraining
   1. Complete the training and get your complete certificate number
      1. Log in on website http://www.safesport.org

      2. Click on “Your Courses”

      3. Click on SafeSport Course
      4. Click on “download certificate” (underneath the “launch course” button)
      5. Save and print certificate

1. Complete the ERYHA Training registration to provide the following confirmation numbers -
   1. MN Hockey Background Screening confirmation number (example: 2543148315) (OPTIONAL)
   2. USA Hockey confirmation number (example: 248501700XXSWA)
   3. SafeSport Confirmation Number
