Tryout Rules
REMINDERS:
- STAY HOME IF YOU ARE SYMPTOMATIC
- Tryouts are CLOSED to spectators.
* If assistance is necessary, skates will need to be tied outside so plan for this & have your skate guards.
* Parents will be able to sign in younger players outside during tryout jersey pick up (day one of skills session).
The ERYHA must adopt all policies of our affiliates: District 10 Hockey, MN Hockey & USA Hockey. We must also follow any policy set by each individual rink our association skates at.
Tryout Pre-Requisites
- All Registration Payments must be up-to-date.
- Any previous season balances must be fully paid.
- Mandatory Fundraising Check must be submitted. Contact ERYHAFundraising@gmail.com or see our Fundraising webpage for more info.
Basic Tryout Rules & Guidelines
- Players must wear matching Elk River colored socks for tryouts. Socks will not be handed out at tryouts so bring your own.
- Please DO NOT arrive to the arena more than 30 minutes prior to your scheduled ice time
- No stickers on helmets unless they are ERYHA stickers.
- Jerseys with tryout numbers will be assigned to you when checking in for the first tryout session and must be returned at the end of tryouts. Parents/Guardians are REQUIRED to sign out jerseys on tryout day 1 (& sign in jerseys on the last day of tryouts) to ensure your player has the correct jersey! Be sure to have BOTH colors of jerseys present for each tryout.
- You must be on the ice for all assigned sessions unless previously excused by the ERYHA Board. Any unexcused absence will impact your overall evaluation.
- Any players that are intentionally going after other kids on the ice, with an intent to injure, or players called for checking from behind, will be given a 0 for that day's tryouts.
- Parents must out of the arena during tryouts, as they will be closed for viewing.

REMINDER TO PARENTS & GUARDIANS
You have agreed to The ERYHA Code of Conduct upon registration of your player. The 24 hour rule of contacting a Board Member or Coach includes text, email and phone calls. The ERYHA Screening process adopted by MN Hockey includes a digital media policy that falls under SafeSport.
