Welcome To Elk River Youth Hockey's "Little Elks" program

What is ERYHA?

Elk River Youth Hockey Association is a sanctioned affiliate of USA Hockey.  We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer-run organization that operates hockey programs locally with Minnesota Hockey's 10th District.

Who are ERYHA Members?

ERYHA has a membership of over 500+ members including kids, mothers, fathers, coaches and program administrators.  Nobody within the ERYHA board is a paid professional, this is not a side-business for anyone and all of our operating expenses can be found on our website.  We are strong because our volunteers are committed and passionate about their love for the sport of hockey!

We also believe that is it incredibly important for our youth to participate in locally organized youth sports that teach the fundamental building blocks of life; to us Hockey is one of those sports.  As Minnesotans, we all know that winter living in the State of Hockey can be long and we believe that the best way to make the most of our winters is to spend it being active playing with and meeting new friends.

The Elk River Youth Hockey "Little Elks" Program will prepare your child to grow into the sport of hockey by teaching them the proper fundamentals of skating, proper balance as well as give them the building blocks to move on to our Mite/U8 (Girls) Hockey programs.

Our program is part of who we are.  We think having kids try something out for first makes a lot of sense for parents.  We also offer free protective equipment for those who are either new or aren't 100% sure what their kids are interested in yet - we've all been parents and know the kids grow up so quickly and can change their minds often on what they're passionate about that it makes a lot more sense to borrow something you might need first rather than commit to buying expensive equipment right away... we get it. This program is geared for children that will be coming into the Elk River Youth Hockey Association in the future.

Equipment Needed

It is our hope that through this program, these kids will join our very successful hockey program.  We would like kids to dress in full hockey gear, however, we understand that may not always be feasible so we've put together a list of what equipment is needed for this program.

MANDATORY = HELMET & SKATES

RECOMMENDED = SHIN PADS, ELBOW PADS, GLOVES

OPTIONAL = BREEZERS PANTS, SHOULDER PADS

EQUIPMENT LOAN COST = FREE!
