• USA Hockey Number Due – Once selected as a Coach
  • This number is renewed yearly and is needed to electronically look up your coaching profile.

• CEP Training Due - 12/31
  • Every upper level (Squirt/10U and above) must have a valid CEP number.  (If your number expires 12/31/2024 you will need to take a course prior to 12/31/2024)
  • If your CEP certification is going to expire on or before 12/31/2024, you will need to submit proof that you are registered for a CEP course with your coaches application. You will not be rostered as a coach without this.
  • If you are ONLY coaching mites/8U you can coach with an expired CEP number.

• SafeSport training Due– Prior to first organized practice
  • Every ERYHA volunteer, (including coaches) must complete SafeSport training annually.
  • ***CHANGE TO 23-24 SEASON*** you are only able to renew your Safe Sport when you are in your thirty (30) day window of expiring. PLEASE check your email for the notification from USA Hockey. The email will provide you with a link to the training. You can also check your USA Hockey portal to see if your window to complete. 
  • Register for Safesport HERE.

• Age appropriate Online modules Due– Prior to first organized practice
  • Every coach also needs to complete the age-appropriate online module for the age they wish to coach.

• USA Hockey background check Due – Prior to first organized practice
  (EVERY TWO YEARS ONLY)
  • Every Minnesota Hockey Coach is asked to complete a background check every two years.  Here's how to proceed:

• MANDATORY CONCUSSION TRAINING Due – Prior to first organized practice
  (EVERY TWO YEARS ONLY)
  • Every rostered Coach must take a concussion training. If you have completed this training in the 2023-2024 season or from another sport please submit your form on the coaches application.
