Our online registration system is already installed on your site.  Families have Pin Numbers to use it.  Payments and amounts owed are tracked.  If you accept credit cards and use our full gateway, it is all automated.  Families log in to make multiple payments and see their balance.  The current capability allows for up to 4 payments.

I am playing around in the site and trying to figure out where families would click to get to the online registration and payments. Can someone help me or is there a tutorial I can look at? 

Your association used to use it.  They stopped using it a year or two ago.  As I recall, we removed the button from the public site to avoid confusion.  Therefore, you can't see the actual feature on your current site.  However, there is a test link at www.elkriverhockey.org/registration_online/test.asp.  I don;t recall if the feature on your site is still customized for you, or if it's the "out of the box" version.  We always customize the feature to meet your process flow and to better meet your needs. The feature currently installed on your site allows up to 4 payments.  It can be set up to function with credit cards or mail in checks.  It can be integrated with USA Hockey if you have parents register directly with USA Hockey versus doing everything through you.  The version on your site right now almost certainly does not display the integration to USA Hockey because they didn;t do that when you last used the feature. If you accept credit cards, we connect to PayPal and a full gateway.  With the full gateway everything is fully automated.  Treasurers can just watch it run.  Rates are about 2.1% plus 25 cents per transaction.  There is a monthly statement fee from the banks of about $29 per month.  One key way we are different from our competitors is that we do not skim your fees.  The only fees you pay are to the bank.  Therefore, our rates are much lower than some of our competition.

Also, we are releasing a new registration module that some hockey associations will begin to use this year.  It allows a greater amount of self configuration and is a bit more streamlined.  It allows up to 5 payments and it allows players to register for multiple items simultaneously.  This is most useful to soccer.

Both registration modules integrate to the volunteers feature and can set the volunteer obligation as parents register their players.
